When you submit a website to Directory Index, we collect: your website URL, name, description, SEO content, category, an optional screenshot, and optionally your email address. We also temporarily log your IP address to prevent spam submissions.
2. How we use your information
We use submitted information solely to display your website listing in our free web directory. Your email address, if provided, is used only to notify you when your listing is published. We do not sell, share or rent your personal information to third parties.
3. IP addresses
We temporarily store IP addresses to prevent abuse and spam submissions. IP logs are automatically deleted after 30 days. We do not use IP addresses for tracking or advertising purposes.
4. Cookies
We use only essential cookies required for the website to function (session cookies for our admin panel). We do not use advertising, tracking or analytics cookies. See our Cookie Policy for more details.
5. Your rights (GDPR)

6. Third-party services
We use Claude AI (Anthropic) for optional SEO content generation. When you use the AI generation feature, your website URL, name and description are sent to Anthropic's API. See Anthropic's privacy policy.
