About PS2 Web Recomp
Independent English-language guide to PS2 Web Recomp, with upstream source links, local build instructions, WebGPU browser requirements, troubleshooting and sourced compatibility notes.
PS2 Web Recomp is a free independent community guide for retro-gaming enthusiasts and developers exploring experimental PlayStation 2 static recompilation for web browsers. The site explains how the upstream project works and helps readers prepare a local, game-specific build. Readers can find source links, setup instructions for Windows, Chrome and Edge WebGPU requirements, troubleshooting guidance, and documented compatibility notes for Gran Turismo 4 and God of War II. Compatibility records distinguish upstream author reports from independently verified tests and identify what remains unverified. The guide requires no account and does not host game images or ready-to-play builds. Readers need their own legally obtained game data. It is not affiliated with Sony or the upstream project's official website.
