About Junkyards Finder
Junkyards Finder is a free directory of 1,874 junkyards, u-pull yards and salvage yards in 642 cities across Texas, Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina and Colorado. Type a ZIP code or city and the closest yards come up first, with distance, hours and whether each one is open now.
Each listing shows the details that save a wasted trip: the gate fee at self-service yards, tool rules, whether the yard buys junk cars, and if it sells used auto parts or only scrap. Yard data comes from EPA facility records, state salvage dealer licenses, chain location pages and OpenStreetMap, and a team calls yards every month to confirm they are open.
Sellers get state guides covering title rules, selling a car with no title, plates, and how scrap value is worked out from curb weight and the per-ton rate. Specialty pages cover truck, motorcycle and boat salvage.
Search by ZIP code or city and the closest yards show first. Each listing covers what matters at the gate: the entry fee at self-service yards (usually $1 to $5, most often $3), hours, tool rules, minimum age, and whether the yard buys junk cars or sells used parts. Yards are sorted by type, so you can go straight to u-pull junkyards (187), salvage yards, used auto parts, cash for junk cars (984 buyers), or specialty truck, motorcycle and boat salvage.
The data comes from public records, not scraped ads. Junkyards Finder pulls EPA ECHO facility records for auto salvage, state license lists such as Texas DMV salvage dealers and Florida FLHSMV licensees, chain location pages and OpenStreetMap, then merges them into one record per yard.
